Fishing Tournament Fire

June 7, 2004
This fire started with a lightening strike on Vermejo Ranch, just about a 1/4 mile south of SFTR Lot E-21. Fisher's Peak was the first to respond, as well as a crew from Vermejo and the Cimmaron Fire Department. It was contained quickly, and burned only the understory and some dead fall trees. It covered about 6-8 acres.
